Compelled Speech
The English language uses personal pronouns which are based on sex; males are referred to with ‘he’ and women are referred to with ‘she’. No person can be compelled to refer to another individual by wrong sex pronouns or invented pronouns. Nor can a person be compelled to use any other related words, such as ‘woman’ or ‘girl’ or ‘actress’, in reference to a male, and vice versa.
Grounds for opposing attempts to compel speech exist not only on the basis of religion but also on the basis of personal belief and recognition of scientific fact.
